The Angus Barn

I’m generally not one to leave reviews but I wanted to share about my experience at the Angus Barn last night. My wife and I had a 7PM reservation and arrived early with the intent to enjoy an adult beverage or two in the upstairs bar. It was comfortable and quiet so we decided to stay and have dinner there. Our servers, Deb and Cameron provided exemplary service. I’m not sure how it’s possible to be super attentive without being overbearing but they pulled it off without a hitch. The food, as always, was first rate. But the kicker— early in the evening my granddaughter called to wish me a happy birthday. Deb and Cameron heard, “happy birthday grandpa!” and made a mental note. As we prepared to leave I was presented with a cake to take home to celebrate my birthday. It’s the little things that make a big difference. Angus Barn never disappoints, and Deb and Cameron put an exclamation point on the evening.

Food was good but this visit the quality and taste of the steaks were not the same as my previous visits. We got asparagus as a side which I have to say was a bit bitter and undercooked/tough. I am giving 4 stars because while it was good ..it was not great. Service is really great. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Never disappoints. Steaks are always great, but we had soft shell crabs that were perfect also. The atmosphere is intriguing & cozy at the same time. Be sure to walk around the whole building to get the full experience.

This place is just simply amazing. Food is incredible, service is top notch. Has always been a great experience. They love kids here too

The experience is beyond what a normal restaurant provides. The ambience here is amazing. From the moment you drive into the parking lot, especially if you're at night, the lights and parking sites are amazing. Enter into the outdoor bar area which is your waiting area and be greeted by very nice appointed waiting area. As you walk to the table look at all the items on the walls, the chandeliers, the accoutrements throughout the building. Very nicely appointed. Food here is pricey but the menu has a lot of variety and offerings. Ordered Ribeye and it was a nice 24 oz cut. Very tasty.

We were visiting from out of town and were told we must go here. It was a great experience (food was delicious), but we did have a birthday in the party that was notated on our reservation plus we reminded them at check-in when we got there, and they still forgot. We had to tell our server after the checks were already brought. It wouldn't have been a huge deal but we were told of the amazing pound cake that they gave for birthdays. In the end, we did eventually get it and it was delicious!

The Angus Barn is an event. Pulling into the property feels special. I have traditions with friends to meet up at the Turkey Lounge for drinks, a little bit of food, and catch up while the piano player serenades us. I love the wedge salad, french onion soup, and chocolate chess pie. And if course a glass of wine or cocktail. Service is always excellent.

One of my favorite places EVER. An iconic Raleigh landmark that welcomes visitors to the Triangle, and welcomes residents back year after year. I love to sit in the Wild Turkey Lounge and then hit the meat locker patio if it's nice out. Try the Buffalo Turkey wings and don't miss the Chocolate Chess Pie! And don't forget to take your good luck apple when you leave!

First, this place is huge!!! But once settled it still has an intimate feel, as it's all sectioned off nicely. Great food and friendly service. Oysters on the half shell and their rib appetizers are a must, and of course the steak is the staple here for mains. I had the beef tenderloin with blue cheese mash potatoes, medium rare beef was melt in your mouth tender, and the mash was a great compliment with the blue cheese. Overall a fantastic experience and will gladly visit again.

The food was delicious. It was a little pricey for me, however the food was well worth every penny spent. My meal was cooked to perfection and our server Jim, made our experience that more pleasant. I will recommend this place if you enjoy quality food and service.

Best meal in a restaurant I've had! Our waiter Jon did a great job. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. It is rare I don't reach for salt and pepper. The soup of the day was really good! We had beef ribs and prime rib with lobster and a appetizer of crab cakes. All was of the highest quality. Well worth the tab and Jon made a nice tip from us.

Love this place! We go every year at least twice to celebrate personal and professional events. Family atmosphere and awesome customer service!

Angus Barn is a good quality steakhouse. I was impressed by the amount of products that were made in house. The $97 tomahawk steak is perfect for 2 people and includes 2 salads or soups and 2 sides with the steak. Beer and wine selections are ample and the staff is great with pairing suggestions. All the deserts were homemade and very high quality. Definitely a great night out and somewhere I would celebrate at again. Expect to spend around 3 hours here for a full meal.

Wow!!!!! I had a wonderful time! It's definitely a one of a kind place. So much character everywhere you look. The Christmas lights were still up and it was beautiful. The food was delicious. I am vegetarian and didn't expect to get so stuffed at a steak house!!! Great service too. I was very impressed with our server. Just an all around wonderful experience. I have never been disappointed with this place.

My family went tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We have never had a better experience anywhere else. Thank you Angus Barn for a great memorable evening.

Food was amazing. Staff was great. I gave it four stars because of the amount of dust I noticed everywhere. The place needs a good cleaning. At this price point there is no excuse for being dirty.

I've been here several times for dates or group dinners as well as once for a wedding at The Pavilion. Every time has been wonderful, and the private event team was phenomenal at the wedding (the bride's parents were thrilled). The prime rib rivals the best in the region (as it should for nearly $40), and I love the cheese and olive appetizer.

I absolutely love Angus Barn and the wonderful staff! They serve Outstanding food and provide great customer service year-round! We love you Ms. Van and thank you for Always giving back to your community!Team Angus Barn...Thank you! :-)

I happened to be in town on business for my birthday and it was a random choice. Did not know what to expect when I pulled into the lot...or walked into the entrance...but it was AMAZING! Atmosphere, staff, food - very happy. Maybe the biggest lobster tail I've ever eaten. I'd never had sawdust pie. Yummy birthday cake to take with us. Will come back!
